I'm looking to buy a local business
and make it my life's work.
I’m a solo operator looking to acquire an established business in the New York area and run as a hands-on owner.
Hi, I’m Carey! A crafter turned engineer turned operator.

I’ve always loved making physical things. I got my first sewing machine at age 10 and churned out pillows and scrunchies. Taking crafting to the next level, I studied mechanical engineering in college, spending a disproportionate time in the shop laser cutting decorations for my dorm.
My career has been in tech marketing, working with early-stage startups and Fortune 500 companies. I’ve led teams, built brands, and helped businesses find new customers and keep them coming back.
But the highlight of my day is often running to the local print shop to rush order flyers. And now, I’d like to bring that experience back to making things.
I’m looking to buy and personally operate a small business for the long haul. I’m particularly interested in screen printing, embroidery, promotional products, and other businesses that would bring me back to the “shop floor”.
To me, owning a business means becoming part of a local community: getting to know the people, taking care of customers, and building on what’s already working.
What I’m looking for
Screen printing, embroidery, promotional products, and other businesses that make tangible things.

You don’t need to be ready to sell. I’m happy to start with a conversation.
